Hello!

We would love to adopt your baby and invite you to join our family. We imagine that the choice you have made to place your child for adoption was not easy. We find your strength and courage in making this decision inspiring. We hope that you will consider us to become a part of your life and would love the opportunity to adopt and give your child a life full of love, laughter, support, and security.

Our beginnings...

We have been together for ten years and have been happily married for seven. We met in our hometown in Pennsylvania one fateful night in March at a local restaurant. We maintained a long distance relationship for a year and half, until we were engaged in July of 2002. We were married in October of 2003, and moved to our current home in September of 2004.

From the beginning, our relationship has always been easy and comfortable. It feels like we just fit! We believe in being open and honest with each other. Although we enjoy being together, we also support each other in pursing individual activities. We are a fun-loving couple and enjoy having good times with family and friends. You are almost always guaranteed a good time when we are together since creating laughter is one of our favorite things to do.

Why adopt...

We both have always wanted children, and we know the chances of having a biological child are not good. We decided that having children in our lives was very important to us, no matter where or who they came from. We know we could make a difference in a child’s life, and we embrace adoption wholeheartedly.   We both adore children and want the opportunity to become parents and share all that we have with a child.

Cassandra...

Cassandra is a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in a neighboring school district. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Technology. In her spare time she enjoys running and exercising. She loves to read, bake, and almost any outdoor activity. Cassandra adores spending time with family and friends. She is someone who loves to be on the go and stays active.

David:  “I would describe Cassandra with one word, amazing. My wife is very outgoing; she can get along with anyone and will make friends anywhere she goes. Cassandra is not afraid to go up to someone and start a conversation. From the day I met Cassandra I always said she brings out the child in me. Cassandra makes me laugh everyday and when I’m sad or down, all I have to do is just talk to her and it will be only a short time later that she has me feeling good again. She is patient and thoughtful.  She makes others feel comfortable and enjoys helping others.  She will be a fantastic mother.”

David...

David is a Sergeant in the police department in the same town where Cassandra works. David graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice. Some of David’s hobbies include watching sports, hunting, golfing, going to the gym, riding his ATV, and spending time with his friends and family. David enjoys spending time outside, which includes gardening, or just relaxing playing video games.

Cassandra:  “I would describe Ziggy (as I and all those who know him lovingly call him) as sensitive, trusting, supporting and caring. He has a care-free, easy going attitude which is the perfect contrast to my personality. He is patient and calming. He has child-like qualities that I adore. He is gentle and kind with a special love of life that is positively charming.  He has a contagious enthusiasm about him that makes me and others laugh. He is genuine and caring.  He feels comfortable with children and enjoys being around them.  Seeing him with others makes me realize that he undoubtedly will be a hands-on father and a great one at that!”

Our home & community...

We live in a two story, raised ranch-style house that has a country atmosphere on one acre of land in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 4 other rooms in our house and a deck off our sunroom. Our house has often been referred to as comfortable.  There is a sense of ease when you are here.  It is quiet and relaxing.

Our front yard is large and is attached to our neighbors. They have a fence that encloses their yard and another around their pool.  Our neighbors have one child, a boy, who is 2 years old and another due in March. We enjoy visiting with our neighbors for holidays, special occasions, or to just hang out.   There is a play area close by with slides and climbing equipment. Scranton is 8 miles down the road and has many parks and recreational areas. The schools in our area are considered to be respectable, and there is a brand new library on the way.

Fun times...

We love to be active and do fun things, especially hanging out with friends and family.  We often attend sporting events and can’t wait to be able to take a child with us to enjoy the adventure.  We like to go for walks and bike rides and swimming at our neighbor’s.  We enjoy visiting family and friends having cookouts and playing cards. We love our yearly trip to the beach where we relax and enjoy some sun and fun.  We hope to start a new tradition of going to the Outer Banks with Cassandra’s brother, wife and two kids. We look forward to including a child of our own on these trips to build even better memories and experiences.

Family & friends...

We both come from large families. Cassandra has three older brothers and David has two older brothers and two older sisters. Between them, they have 11 nieces and nephews. We love getting together with our families and look forward to parties, holidays and other special occasions that give us the opportunity to visit with each other. Our families are so supportive of our choosing to adopt and can’t wait to welcome someone new into the family.  Our friends feel the same way. Most of them have children already and can’t wait for us to have one of our own to add to the group. Summer trips to the beach, 4th of July parties, and one more kid to sit on Santa’s lap excites both us and them.

Our faith & values...

We both believe in God and our Catholic religion. We want to raise our child spiritually in the church, emphasizing the importance of God and the religious community.  We value manners, respect of others, morals, and education.  We want to instill the knowledge of right and wrong in our child, raising him or her to show consideration for others and to be kind and thoughtful. Educationally, we want to instill the importance of academics and help them work to their highest potential. We want our child to have the opportunity to pursue any interests that they find interesting in sports and clubs.   We will provide as much love and support as possible, building a strong sense of family and to know that they always have someone they can turn to and depend on whenever they need it.

Open adoption...

We will be very open and honest with our child about their adoption
from the very beginning, and we will do everything we can to make
them feel unconditionally loved by us and by you.  Your child will
always know about you and the selfless, loving decision you made.
We would be more than happy to send pictures and letters as your
child grows to give you peace and the knowledge that they are safe,
loved and happy.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us.  We
would love to get to know you as well.  We would be incredibly
honored and thrilled if you chose to adopt your child.  We respect
you and the difficult decision you are making, and we pray you have
peace no matter what family you choose.
